At the South West League Division 1 match in Yeovil a major factor for the athletes was the high winds, but a stunning team performance from the U13 girls ensured they simply blew the opposition away, winning their age group competition in style. Lynn Robertson won the 100 in 14.2, came second in the 70m hurdles in 13.00 and claimed third in the 200 with a new lifetime best of 29.30. Isobel Pinsky coped well with the wind to win the 70m hurdles in 12.30 and Eleanor Brandon in her ﬁrst track competition came third in the 1500 with 5:33.30. In the ﬁeld Amy-Beth Curtis won the javelin and was second in the shot with new lifetime bests of 25.63 and 7.56 respectively, and India Leetham claimed third places and new lifetime bests in both the high jump by 10cm with 1.30 and the long jump with 3.63.
Theodore Jackson Clist claimed the U15 100 in a new best time of 13.9, was second in long jump with 4.19 and third in the high jump with another PB of 1.30. Josh Tyler came second in both the shot with 7.09 and the javelin with 24.41, both new PBs, Craig Moncur was second in the 75m hurdles also with a new PB of 15.00, and Lee Dart was third in the 1500 with 5:15.00.
Anna-Rose Gabbitas won the U15 300 in 45.2 and took second in the 200 with a new PB of 27.8. U15 boys Danny Martin was third in the discus with 30.03 and Jed Dove was third in the hammer with a new PB of19.53.
Phoebe Killen came third in the U17 1500 steeplechase in 6:23.2, Dominic Allen won the U17 javelin with 56.62 and Michael Thornton came third in the 400 with a new PB of 55.1.
Olive Berry won the Senior 2000 steeplechase in 6:21.6 and came second in the 1500 in 4:20.3.
