Exeter Harriers competing in the U17/U20 Youth Development League for the Devon & Cornwall composite team made a worthwhile journey to Cheltenham for the third match of the season, with Fin McLear racing to an outstanding new lifetime best in the U17 800. McLear claimed the win with 2:06.50, chopping more than two seconds off his previous best, then going on to win the 400 hurdles in 60.6. In the field Jack Moncur won the U17 javelin with 54.10, almost eight metres clear of second, and was third in the high jump with 1.55. Jamie Anderson cleared an excellent 1.85 in the U20 high jump, and with three athletes on the same height Anderson secured the win on count back.
