U13 BOYS CONTINUE WINNING STREAK AT WESTWARD LEAGUE TAKING GOLD, SILVER & BRONZE AS WELL AS TEAM TROPHY

Despite the challenging weather over the weekend the final fixture of the Westward League took place at Redruth thanks to great organisation from Cornwall Athletics. However, fewer athletes than normal braved the conditions.

In the Senior Men Callum Crawford came 4th and Howard Bailey 25th. The U13 Boys excelled themselves with Charlie Hague winning and Oliver Capps 2nd, his brother Toby came 2nd in the U11 race with William Birchall 3rd, his brother, Henry, 6th followed home by Stanley Wood in 12th and Jack Grainger in 18th. In the Senior Ladies Courtney Howard came 14th, Samidi Nanayakkara came 8th in the U15 Girls, Isabella Peyton Jones 11th in U13 Girls and Isla Llewellyn Mayne 18th in the U11’s.

The Westward League 2017/18 trophies were presented.  The U13 Boys team Winning the team trophy and individually; Oliver Capps took Gold, Charlie Hague Silver and Sam Mills Bronze. Our U15 Boys team took Team Bronze with the best placed 3 individual athletes, Louis Chamberlain (10th), Joseph Henley (13th) and Cameron Bryson (22nd). Team Bronze was also won by the U15 Girls with Phoebe Clark taking individual Gold, Samidi Nanayakkara (13th) and Jasmine Stone (18th). Finally U13 Girls also took Team Bronze with Isabella Peyton-Jones joint 10th with Katie Harries and Alice Clark (17th).
