Entries for the EA U15/U17 Combined Events Champs, held on 12th & 13th August, at the Manchester Regional Arena will close on 24th July. Details of the competition can be downloaded here or as follows;
AGE GROUPS: • UNDER 17 COMPETITORS MUST BE UNDER 17 ON 31ST AUGUST 2017 • UNDER 15 COMPETITORS MUST BE UNDER 15 ON 31ST AUGUST 2017. Athletes may compete outside their age group as defined in UKA:Rules (Rule 107)
RULE CHANGES: Rule changes implemented on April 1st 2014 require that “athletes should be registered in the current year with their National Association in order to compete as a First Claim athlete” and that “athletes must be a member of an affiliated club and registered with a National Association in order to compete in a National Championship (rule 10(2)).”
ACCOMMODATION: England Athletics’ hotels partner Intercontinental Hotels Group are able to offer registered athletes exclusive discounts on stays at their brands, including Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Crowne Plaza.
CLOTHING: In all events competitors must wear at least vest and shorts (or equivalent clothing) which are clean and so designed and worn as not objectionable, even if wet. Competitors must wear the vest of their first claim affiliated club, County, Area or National vest
EQUIPMENT: Athletes may use their own equipment provided it is submitted for checking by the Technical Manager. Only starting blocks provided by the venues may be used.
INFORMATION: Acceptance letter, timetable and other relevant information will be posted on website and sent to athletes via email approximately two weeks prior to the Championships. Start lists will be on the website.
