Dry weather blessed the first Southern Athletics League D3 SW fixture held at Exeter Arena, on 14th April. City of Salisbury, Poole Runners and Team Kennet were all vying to gain valuable points at Exeter Harriers home track.

David Phillips, Team Manager, was pleased with the start to the season with athletes on the track taking first place in most events. Manager’s mentions include;
Sarah Kearney, great performances in hurdles and performing a leading role in organising relay teams. The women’s relay teams did very well.
Matt Prisk, wasn’t well in the morning, but managed to get in to support the team and won the steeplechase, his first race in this event.
Freya Rose, great run in 200m and 400m relay, she’d never run 400m before.
