Fifteen young Exeter Harriers travelled to Cardiff for the South West Indoor Athletics
Championships, with many experiencing the thrill of competing on an indoor athletics track for the
first time.
Excellent performances came from Katie Chapman, Theodore Jackson Clist and Rachel
Champion, who dominated all their events in the U13 age group, with Chapman and Jackson Clist
winning three championship titles apiece: Chapman in the 60 hurdles, long jump and shot and
Jackson Clist in the high jump, long jump and 60m. Champion took the sprint double in the 60m
and 200.
Also performing well in the U13 age group were Rebecca Squire with silver in the 60 hurdles,
Jasmine Stone with silver in the 1500, Abbie Freeman with fourth in the 60 hurdles, Nathan
Blatchford with silver in the 60 hurdles and fourth in the high jump, and Finlay Norman with bronze
in the 60 hurdles. Isobel Pinsky came third in the U15 200.
