Owen Coldwell had a successful day running three new lifetime bests at Newquay & Par Warm-Up Meeting, winning the U17 600 in 1:35.3, taking second in the 300 in 42.5 and third in the 150 in 20.7. Sophie Burden claimed second in the U15 300 with a new best time of 47.8, and in the U13 age group Brooke Coldwell won the 600 in a lifetime best 1:52.6, Jasmine Stone took first place in the 1200 with a new best of 4:36.2 and Josh Cann was second in the 600 in 1:55.9.
Natasha Mead claimed second place in the Senior 100 running in the T13 category with guide runner Sam Crowter.
Athletes who competed at the Yeovil Warm-Up Meeting also managed several new lifetime bests despite the extremely blustery conditions. Dominic Allen won the U20 javelin in 51.18, and Sam Dove claimed first place in the U17 long jump with a new best of 5.64 and second in the discus with 20.26, with Finley McLear taking second in the 800 in a new best time of 22:08.8, and Phoebe Killen second in her 800 with a new best of 2:27.9. Throws specialist Jed Dove did well winning the U15 hammer and javelin with 24.49 and 34.67 respectively, both new lifetime bests, Elliot Moran claimed a win in the U15 800 in 2:14.00, and newcomer Chloe Harris did well with second in the U13 long jump with 3.67.
