Exeter Harriers  ‘Off Track Running’ group aim to encourage individuals
aged 16+, to participate in off track running including; road running, cross country running and other forms of
running away from the track.

This initiative is very much in accord with England Athletics stated mandate ‘to grow participation in the sport to include track and field, competitive running (off track) and recreational running in all of its
forms’.
Off Track Running Members will receive the following benefits;
  • New Membership Category at a lower rate than Track and Field membership as members will not be using the track
  • Membership will include the England Athletics Licence Fee so members can participate in competitions if they wish
  • 4 weeks free temporary membership – to give the group a try to see if it’s right for them
  • Reduced weekly training fee – £1
  • Weekly road runs every Tuesday @ 6.35pm – meet in the Exeter Harriers Club House lounge
  • Groups catering for; Beginners, club runners as well as those with higher aspirations
  • Led by a group leader offering different distances and pace;
    3 miles (5k) at 10+ minutes per mile
    4 miles (6.4k) at 8-9 minutes per mile
    5 miles (8k) at 7 minutes per mile
  • Advice and support from experienced club coaches
  • Other running opportunities including; XCountry and Park Runs
