ALL TRAINING IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED
All member have been emailed regarding a phased restart of training. Responses are being collated and a further update will be sent later in September.
Senior Training Groups (U15 Athletes & above) exist for the following disciplines;
Training times commence 7/7.15pm depending on the group. If you are planning to visit the club for the first time please email firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss the options available to you, as some groups may already be full. The Welcome Desk Volunteers can then arrange a date for your first visit and introduce you to the appropriate coach. Finish times for the Senior training sessions vary according to content and weather conditions. Please ask the coach concerned who will be able to give you an indication of the finish time for a particular session.
The Senior Training Groups are focused on one of the above specialist disciplines with the aim of developing an athlete’s skills and fitness to become competitive in that discipline.
Athletes do not need to stay in one particular training group and are free to try other disciplines should they wish.
Athletes wishing to train for pentathlons, heptathlons, decathlons etc (multi-events) will, following a discussion with the multi-events coach, follow a training schedule which will incorporate training to cover all their required events, Please ask at the Welcome Desk for more information.
As part of an athletes personal development athletes are encouraged to compete for the club. We have teams in a number of leagues including; South West Athletics League, Southern Athletics League and the Westward Cross Country League.
