For each training session attended, please pay £3.50 - this applies to all full members except those who are also active registered Volunteers, Coaches and Officials. It also applies to Temporary Members after their first free session.

Guests pay £6.50 for each training session. 

Everyone needs to sign in - this is a safety issue in case of emergencies.

We do not accept cash. You can pay through the card machine at Reception. When we have time, we will ask regular users to register Customer details on the card machine to help us keep track.

Our preferred method for Members uses the Spond app. This benefits both you and the club. Spond is a club management system, used worldwide and in conjunction with trusted payment processors. It can be downloaded as an app from both the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android). The system will allow you to register and pay flexibly, as well as keep up-to-date with the latest club news.

 

You will see on joining that there is a calendar of sessions, with both a junior and senior event each Tuesday and Thursday. You are encouraged to accept the relevant event (e.g. Tuesday Juniors, Thursday Seniors) before you or your child attend the session. This will prompt you to pay by card via your phone - safely and securely. On arrival at the Harriers Reception, please sign in as normal and let the volunteers know you have paid by Spond.

 

In the unusual event that you pay for a session and then are unable to attend, then do not pay for your following visit (but please still register as attending) and notify volunteers on arrival. This situation can be minimised by registering and paying immediately before attending - once you have the app installed and set up, registering and paying for a session will take only a few seconds of your time.

 

Here are some useful joining instructions:

 

If you are the parent or guardian of a child or children, when you're setting up your account, please enter your own name. Under "Add profile picture" you should add a picture of you (although you can skip this entirely).

 

Once you've installed the app, you are invited to join using the following link: https://spond.com/invite/IVWPJ

 

If you would rather not use the link directly or you already have Spond installed, you can navigate to "Groups" on the Spond menu, and then enter the code manually: IVWPJ

 

If you are the parent or guardian of a child or children, please follow these steps:

  1. Select "I am a parent"
  2. In this step, enter the child's name, date of birth and other fields about the child person.
  3. In this step, you can add more guardians and determine the visibility of your contact information
  4. (If you want the child to also use Spond themselves, you can add the child's contact information at the bottom here. This must match the child's own email and phone number. In this case, the child must create their own profile)
  5. Select Done
  6. Your request to join the group has now been submitted and you must wait for a group admin to accept you. You'll receive a notification when you are approved. This may take up to 24 hours.

Please note that you are still able to join and pay for sessions yourself as a parent (if you are a member yourself!) as well as representing and paying for your child. More information on using Spond can be found here.

The training fees pay for the hire of the track. The track hire fees were increased substantially by Exeter Leisure in April 2024 to £204 per evening in the summer and £246 in the winter with the floodlights. They were increased again in April 2025 and 2026.
