Zola's indoor U20 3000m British record, set at Cosford, had stood since Feb 1985, but it is no more.
Innes Fitzgerald, on Sunday at the Cardiff Indoor Arena, wiped the slate clean, recording 8:48.30 to Budd's 8:56.13.
