GOLD FOR RORY AND SUPERB 7TH FOR ELLIE AT SCHOOLS XC INTERNATIONAL
Falkirk was the venue last Saturday for the final Cross Country event of this winter season, with the SIAB Schools International taking place between the Home Countries (Eng, Scot, Ireland, Wales).
Following his 3rd place finish the previous weekend at the English Schools Champs Rory Barclay-Watt exceeded all expectations in the Inter Boys race, taking individual gold, and also team gold with the England team dominating the race.
Junior Girl Ellie Birchall ran a great race for individual 7th, replicating her 7th place the previous weekend at the English Schools. Again, England dominated, with Ellie also taking team gold.
Both athletes were missing from our annual Awards & Celebration Evening because of this fixture, it is fitting that they are jointly awarded the Tony White Memorial Trophy.
Well done to these 2 talented young athletes!
