SW SCHOOLS COMBINED EVENTS CHAMPS
On June 28&29th at Yeovil the Devon Schools Combined Events Team competed at the SW Schools Champs.
What a set of results, superb performances, and many PBs from the Harriers, who make up the majority of the Devon Team.
The Junior Girls team of 4, competing in a Pentathlon, are all Harriers, their individual placings were:
Darcie Benson 4th with 4 new PBs
Megan Johnson 9th with 2 new PBs
Katie Hill 13th with 3 new PBs
Isabelle Davies 14th with 1 new PB
The 2 Inter Boys, competing in a 2 day Octathlon, are also both Harriers, again with excellent redults:
Sam Stevens 5th with 5 new PBs
Will Turner 15th with 8 PBs, a PB in every event!
Senior Girl, Becky Milliner, competing in a 2 day Heptathlon, saw a massive 400 point PB for her total score, which included 6 individual PBs.
The next stage of this competition is the English Schools Combined Events Champs at Chelmsford in September, and we have just received the fantastic news that the following are selected to compete:
